Host Jerry Junkin and his colleagues at the University of Texas at Austin are preparing a dynamic conference that will include engaging performances of current and new literature as well as captivating ideas for enriching your professional effectiveness—all in the vibrant, destination city of Austin, Texas. Congratulations to the outstanding ensembles selected to perform for the conference: Baylor University, Eric Wilson, conductor; Michigan State University, Kevin Sedatole, conductor; Oklahoma State University, Joseph Missal, conductor; University of Georgia, John Lynch, conductor; University of Missouri—Kansas City Conservatory of Music, Steven Davis, conductor; University of North Carolina—Greensboro, John Locke, conductor; University of North Texas, Eugene Migliaro Corporon, conductor; and West Texas A&M University—Canyon, Don Lefevre, conductor. They will join our host, The University of Texas Wind Ensemble, conducted by Jerry Junkin and the Small College Intercollegiate Band, conducted by Virginia Allen. We salute the students and conductors of these groups who will devote a significant portion of their energies during the academic year to present memorable performances for us all.
