Douglas Henderson
 

Douglas Henderson is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Wind Conducting at The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Henderson completed the Master of Music degree in Wind Conducting at Michigan State University in 2008 and the Bachelor of Music degree in Music Studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 2003. From 2003-2006, he was the Associate Director of Bands at J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas, where he conducted performances in Carnegie Hall and the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Mr. Henderson is active as a guest conductor and clinician. He has served on the faculties of several summer music camps. As an undergraduate at UT, Douglas served for two years as the drum major of the Longhorn Band and was a member of the UT Wind Ensemble. In 1998 and 1999, he marched with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps. He then taught on the brass staff of the Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps in 2001. Douglas holds professional memberships in the College Band Directors National Association, Phi Kappa Phi, Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi National Band Fraternity.
