Welcome to the University of Texas Trumpet Studio Website. The trumpet studio offers a rigorous, flexible, challenging and very supportive environment for the development of his/her unique voice through strong fundamental technique and tone with a deeply internalized sense of musicality, style and phrasing. For additional enrichment, each academic year the trumpet studio hosts a variety of internationally recognized soloists, recitalists and guest residencies. There is a very strong sense of community through weekly studio performance classes, studio recitals and other informal gatherings. A positive, friendly and supportive environment is expected throughout the studio in order to prepare each student to be great colleagues as well as players in their future professional lives.
