You must submit a written statement outlining your objectives for graduate study, career plans, and the reasons for applying to our program. This document is submitted electronically as part of the ApplyTexas application and should be no more than 500 words in length. This document is crucial in the evaluation of scholarship and fellowship awards.
If you are applying to two different degree programs, then two statements of purpose are required (as well as six letters of recommendation).
