Joshua Tucker received his Ph.D in Ethnomusicology from the University of Michigan in 2005, and was the University of Chicago’s Post-Doctoral Fellow in Ethnomusicology during the 2005-6 year. He has spent almost three years conducting ethnographic research on Andean popular music, media circulation, and social change in Ayacucho and Lima, Peru.
