The Center for American Music showcases the music of the Americas in all of its
richness and diversity, through research, educational, and performance programs
of the highest quality. The new programs include film composition, recording technology
, music business, and Longhorn Music, the new recording and publishing label.
The goal of the center is to forge relationships with the world community to facilitate
an unprecedented exchange between musicians, scholars, students, and the music-loving
public.
