Renowned choral conductor Joseph Flummerfelt will be in residence on the Distinguished Teacher Series at the Butler School of Music April 18-22. Hailed by Leonard Bernstein as “the greatest conductor in the world,” Dr. Flummerfelt was Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of Westminster Choir College for 33 years. Retired from teaching, he still holds positions as Chorus Master for the New York Philharmonic, Director of Choral Activities for Spoleto Festival USA, and Founder and Conductor of the professional New York Choral Artists.
Dr. Flummerfelt will conduct in concert and participate in several sessions with students in the Butler School of Music. The public is invited to attend the sessions below:
