TEST SCORES

GRE � No minimum except for international applicants, who must score higher than 400 on the verbal portion. Faculty prefer combined scores of 1000 or higher. The GRE is not required for performance or composition applicants.

TOEFL � Minimum required scores:

550 paper-based

IELTS � Minimum required score: 6.5

Directions to the School of Music:

Northbound on Interstate 35: Take exit #236 (Dean Keeton, 32nd - 38 1/2 Street), move to the far right lane on the access road, turn right at the sign for Dean Keeton � the road will curve around and put you on 26th Street so that you will be westbound on Dean Keeton (formerly known as 26th Street. At the second traffic light, turn left onto Robert Dedman Drive. After you turn, the School of Music is the second building to your right, just after the School of Law.

Southbound on Interstate 35: Take exit #236A (32nd Street), go through the signal intersection, then turn right at the sign for Dean Keeton so that you will be westbound on Dean Keeton (formerly known as 26th Street). At the second traffic light, turn left onto Robert Dedman Drive. After you turn, the School of Music is the second building to your right, just after the School of Law.

Parking garage: Drive south on Robert Dedman Drive and turn right at the first stop sign, 23rd Street. Pass the stadium on your left and Performing Arts Center on your right and take the next right onto Trinity. Follow the slight hill up and the parking garage is directly after the Texas Memorial Museum (large white marble building) on the left. From the parking garage, the Music building is east, directly across the street.
