The University is bound, like all universities, to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, or FERPA.
FERPA stipulates what information about individual student EDUCATIONAL records are protected by federal law. University employees are prohibited from discussing or disclosing any educational records with anyone besides the student.
